Patchwork & Quilting – Social

Class: Friday 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Cost: $75
Term: 9 Weeks

About the Class: Tutor Led (although social until replacement tutor is appointed)
Learn the use of colours and fabrics, how to contrast blocks, rotary cutting, piecing fabrics
and completing quilts with batting, backing and quilting layers.

What to bring:
Sewing machine & feet (1/4 foot, walking foot, darning foot)
Fabric scissors
Quilting pins
Glass head pins
Cotton thread to match fabric
Optional Materials:
● Mat
● 30cm Ruler
● Rotary cutter
Additional information: Fabrics amount will vary according to how large you would like the quilt
to be. You may like 1m lots or flat flats 50 x 52cm. Have a wide variety of prints and plains which
include lights, mediums and darks. Vary the print scale, approx. six fabrics. 100% cotton fabrics
washed and ironed before the Class.

NOTE: Learning in the Hills runs a small Canteen Monday – Friday from 10.30am – 10.45am.
